The ITV4 cameras will be on Merseyside this Saturday for the Becher Chase and the Many Clouds Grade 2 Chase. Our resident tipster Dave Stevos has already posted his 20/1 fancy for the Becher Chase and you can click here to see it. He has had a good look at the final three races on the card and you can check his Aintree tips and preview below …

Aintree Tips: 2.05  Many Clouds Chase (Grade 2)

The Many Clouds Chase, named after the legendary Grand National winner, has attracted a paltry field of just four. They are all good horses and a couple have strong form at Aintree. However, to see just four horses turn up for a race worth £60k is disappointing. Definitely Red is the current odds on favourite and he is a three time Grade 2 winner, including this 25f contest last year.

The one with the best piece of form in the book is Double Shuffle, beaten a length by Might Bite in the King George at Kempton last year. However, he saves his best for Kempton and he was pulled up and 7th on his two runs at Aintree. One For Arthur is a former Grand National winner but he is back from a long break and he needs further than this to be seen at his best. Acdc looks to have a lot to find on the figures but with doubts about Double Shuffle and One For Arthur, he could be the one for the forecast.

Aintree Tips: 2.40  Betway Fillies’ Juvenile Hurdle (Listed)

The penultimate race on Saturday’s card at Aintree is a 17f Juvenile Listed Hurdle for the girls. Thankfully eight will go to post so it will be three places for each way bets. Plenty of these fillies, including the favourite Giving Glances, have something to prove on soft ground. However, one horse that is going to relish underhoof conditions is Lady Camelot.

This daughter of Camelot has yet to trouble the judge on both hurdle starts thus far. Crucially though, both those runs came on good ground. She relished getting her toe in on the flat, her win coming on heavy and some excellent placed efforts on soft. She will get her ground for the first time over timber on Saturday. Gavin Cromwell is a shrewd operator and does well with his overseas raiders. At odds of 6/1 Lady Camelot should go well with James Bowen in the plate.

Aintree Tips: 3.15  Grand Sefton Handicap Chase (Class 2)

The closing race on Saturday’s card at Aintree is the 21f Grand Sefton Handicap Chase. This race is run over the Grand National fences so jumping ability is key. The openness of this race is reflected in the betting and Shanahan’s Turn is just about favourite at 11/2. He hails from an in form yard and he jumped well when 2nd in the Topham in April. He looks to have a live chance.

However, Crievehill is the one that looks the most interesting back on softer ground. Nigel Twiston Davies is flying right now and this son of Arcadio looks to have a right chance here. He was last sighted finishing 2nd on good ground to Javert at Uttoxeter. That horse went close off 9lb higher on his next outing. Crievehill’s only run at Aintree was poor, but that was over hurdles. He is a much better chaser and if he takes to these fences he could be hard to beat back on his favoured soft ground at odds of 6/1.
