Buywise was in the process of running a cracker for us when falling at the final fence last weekend. Whether he would have won is debateable, but our 25/1 each way NAP looked destined for a place at least. Hopefully we get a change this weekend with our Kempton Saturday tip. The Lanzarote Hurdle is the feature, and our horse racing tipster Dave Stevos has analysed the race. Check out his preview and value each way tip below…
Kempton Saturday Tip: 2.40 Lanzarote Handicap Hurdle (Listed)
The Lanzarote Hurdle is always a keenly contested race and 15 have been declared for the 2019 renewal. There has been a lot of market support for Kloud Gate who is trained by in form Gary Moore. He won doing handstands on his last two handicap starts, winning by a combined total of 16L. However, he was raised 12lb for his last win and he has to prove he can be competitive off 127.
Darling Maltaix also has a 12lb rise to deal with after his win last time, but the one we like is the horse he beat into 2nd. Milrow is trained by Sophie Leech and he has just 4 lengths to find with Paul Nicholls’ horse. This 4yo son of Tamayuz went up 4lb in the weights to 124 after that excellent effort on ground plenty soft enough for him.
He will appreciate the return to good ground at Kempton and a fast run race should suit this fella. He was giving Darling Maltaix 1lb that day, whereas this time he will be getting 8lb. A 9lb swing is a lot, and we think that combined with better ground could help him to turn the form around. 20/1 looks a huge price and with 4 places available, an each way bet is recommended.
